An interview with Jim Yong Kim, a physician and president of the financial institution the World Bank, is presented. Topics include his views on the Bank's official goals of ending extreme poverty and enabling people to participate in economic growth; his work breaking information silos, or institutionalized communication failures, and changing the business culture within the Bank; and the Bank's apolitical nature, that prohibits it from interfering with government but allows it to support the rule of law.
