  • The article discusses the 1973 military coup in Santiago, Chile which resulted in the death of President Salvador Allende and the establishment of the authoritarian regime under General Augusto Pinochet. It responds to the article entitled "What Really Happened in Chile," by Jack Devine, which appeared in the July/August 2014 issue.
