The objective of this study is to determine the areas in which training is oriented in micro and small Companies especially in the Sucre, as well as the techniques utilized and educational institutions that offer this training process. The research is descriptive-exploratory, and utilizes a structured questionnaire to collect information which was applied to 1.110 micro and small Companies. The conclusion is that the priorituy training areas in these industries are are oriented towards specific areas such as supervision and administrative functions, and that creativity, ethics, honesty, and there is little participartion of universities in this training process in the Sucre micro and small Companies studied.
