  • The chest radiograph � better known as the chest X-ray or CXR � remains one of the most important imaging tools in patients with suspected or known cardiac disease. This article provides a guide to the systematic interpretation of a chest radiograph and a review of the classic radiological signs of cardiac disease. Its use and limitations in patients with known or suspected cardiac disease will be discussed with updates from the latest guidelines.
