    • Research on Mexican college students, still represent a section substantially in the field of educational research. In 2008 we initiated studies profile of freshmen at the Academic Unit of Medicine (UAM) of the Autonomous University of Nayarit (UAN), whose origins were the recommendations of the academic program by the group of evaluators Mexican Council for Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAEM). This study analyzes the profiles of generations 2011 - 2012, with the purpose of accounting to its most notable differences in socioeconomic, family, educational, labor and cultural. We accompany the following questions: What makes them similar socioeconomic, What differentiate educational situations, What makes them similar and different?, What problems are most noticed by them, What is your opinion of the institution ?.

      Among the most significant are: the persistence of women as the majority group in the composition of enrollment, a lower presence of student workers, a majority holder of computer and internet at home, a significant presence of students from private high schools and a more favorable perception of the university and its formation.
