Resumen de Patativa do Assaré: o canto ilimitado

  The work approaches the social character of Patativa do Assare's poetry. Based on Jaeger's conception (2001) of the poet as educator of the Greek people and the comparison that Carvalho (2009) and Debs (2000) make between Homer and the poet, a native from Ceara, the problem is how Patativa do Assan~'s poetry can be thought as tributary of an educational function of the Sertao people. To answer this question, some of the poems written by Patativa do Assare were analyzed, as well as the author's statements and those of people close to him, trying to identify the ideology that permeates his poetry. The theoretical framework follows the teachings of Carvalho (2009), Curtius (1996), Debs (2000), Jaeger (2001), Lemaire (2009), Tavares Juniot (2002) and Zumthor (2010).

  O trabalho aborda o caráter social da poesia de Patativa do Assaré. A partir da concepção de Jaeger (2001) do poeta como educador do povo grego e a comparação que Carvalho (2009) e Debs (2000) fazem entre Homero e o poeta cearense, formula-se o problema de como se pode pensar a poesia de Patativa do Assaré como tributária de uma função educativa do povo do Sertão. Para responder à questão, analisam-se alguns poemas de Parativa do Assaré, bem como depoimentos do próprio autor e de pessoas próximas a ele, procurando identificar a ideologia que permeia a sua poética. Como referencial teórico, seguem-se os ensinamentos de Carvalho (2009), Curtius (19%), Debs (2000), Jaeger (2001), Lemaire (2009), Tavares Júnior (2002) e Zummor (2010).
