Resumen de A representação feminina em D. Narcisa de Villar, de Ana Luísa de Azevedo Castro

Bárbara Loureiro Andreta, Anselmo Peres Alós

  • D. Narcisa de Villar is the only novel written by Ana Luísa de Azevedo Castro, published in 1859. In this novel, the women and the native people represent the resistance to the patriarchal, colonialist and enslaver society. As in other nineteenth century female authorship’s novels, D. Narcisa de Villar denounces the institutional and symbolical violence, which interlines the construction of the Brazilian nation, disestablishing, in this way, the configuration of the national identity, since she gave voice to the subaltern voices.
