A mangrove-inhabiting porcelain crab, Enosteoides philippinensis sp. nov., is described based on material collected from Palawan Island, the Philippines. It is the fifth species of the genus and different from its congeners in having an extremely setose body, one to five spines on the proximal half of the outer margin of the chela, two lobes on the anterior margin of the basal article of the antennular peduncle, and two to four strong spines on the mesobranchial regions.
