Fourteen polars extracts of species of Miconia, Tibouchina, Henriettella, Tococa, Aciotis and Bellucia (melastomataceous) were evaluated by their allelopathic activity against Lycopersicum esculentum L seeds. M. coronata of EtOAc and n- M. aeruginosa of BuOH extracts were the most promisories by their yield and hipocotyl inhibition percentages -24,92% and -91.16%, respectively.
M. coronata and M. aeruginosa fractions presented inhibition major on hipocotyl 80 a 90% and 50 a 80%. BF-8D fraction presented on hipocotyl inhibition between 50 and 55%, a compound was isolated being their determinated structure.
