    EL INSTITUTO DE BIOMECÁNICA DE VALENCIA (IBV) HA DESARROLLADO UN SISTEMA PARA la evaluación biomecánica de instrumentaciones de raquis lumbar que permite analizar la influencia del tipo de lesión, peso del paciente y los sistemas de fijación sobre los niveles de tensiones y la rigidez del conjunto raquis implantes en el modo de carga de flexión. Esta herramienta disponible en Internet, pretende dar servicio a los departamentos de I+D de las empresas así como a los profesionales médicos sobre la configuración más adecuada de un sistema de fijación de raquis lumbar.

    The IBV has developed a system to biomechanically evaluate lumbar spine instrumentations which permits to analyse the influence of the injury type, patient weight and fixation systems on the stress level and bending stiffness of the spine-implant system. This tool is available in the Internet and is intended to be a service to companies' R+D departments as well as to clinicians and physicists to decide on the most appropriate framework of a lumbar spine fixation system.
