    El presente artículo ofrece un resumen sobre la evolución del comportamiento del turista japonés en España respecto de tres variables objeto de estudio, esto es, la categoría del establecimiento hotelero elegido al venir a nuestro país, el mes elegido para hacerlo, así como la provincia y Comunidad Autónoma elegida como destino. Todos los datos proceden del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y hacen referencia al número de pernoctaciones habidas en los establecimientos hoteleros entre 1983 y 2012, siendo la técnica estadística utilizada el análisis de correspondencias. Se trata de obtener conclusiones en base a los datos históricos sobre sus elecciones, observando las similitudes y diferencias existentes.

    This paper analyzes the behavior of the Japanese tourist in Spain regarding three variables: the month chosen to come to this country, the category of the hotel establishment and the province and region of destination. All data source from the Spanish Institute of Statistics, while most of them are historical data and refer to the existing number of overnight stays at these hotel establishments between 1983 and 2012, being the statistical used technology the analysis of correspondences. The purpose consists in obtaining conclusions on the basis of the historical information on his choices observing the similarities and existing differences
