En respuesta a la inminente necesidad de impulsar el sector industrial del Área Metropolitana Centro Occidente - AMCO, conformada por Pereira, Dosquebradas y la Virginia, se vio la necesidad de acompañar su gestión desde la academia sin desconocer la responsabilidad y el apoyo que desde el estado se debe brindar. Uno de los subsectores representativos es la Fabricación de productos metálicos para uso estructural (CIIU 2811), donde se realizó una investigación aplicando instrumentos al 93% de las empresas, luego de analizar y consolidar resultados se estructuró la propuesta de Integración Estado � Academia � Empresa, como eje de crecimiento y fortalecimiento.

In answer to the imminent need to prompt the industrial sector of the Área Metropolitana Centro � Occidente - AMCO, conformed by Pereira, Dosquebradas and La Virginia, the need was seen of accompany its management since the academy without not know the responsibility and the support that since the state should be offered. One of the representative subsectors is the metallic product Manufacture for structural use (CIIU 2811), where an investigation was made applying instruments to 93% of the companies, after analyzing and to consolidate results itself structured the proposal of integration State- Academy- Business, like axis of growth and strengthening.
