    Para entender la indumentaria humana hay tres peculiaridades antropológicas que se convertirían en leyes de Antropología Política por su relación directa con el poder y que se presentan como hipótesis teóricas, dadas sus dificultades de verificación empírica: Los humanos somos animales territoriales; somos productores y utilizadores de objetos (no podríamos sobrevivir desnudos de manera permanente); y genéticamente necesitamos persuadir favorablemente a nuestros semejantes (nacemos tan indefensos que sin ser atractivos para otros, sin conseguir que otros se ocupen de nosotros moriríamos). Dos de estas características las compartimos con otros animales, la tercera, la propia del homo faber resultaría decisiva y permitiría entender mejor el control social y el pudor.

    To understand human attire, there are three anthropological peculiarities that would become laws of Political Anthropology, due to their direct relationship with power and which are presented as theoretical hypotheses, given the difficulties in empirically identifying them. We, human beings are territorial animals, we are producers and users of objects (naked, we could not permanently survive); and genetically we need to favourably persuade our peers (we are born so defenceless that if we were not attractive to others, or if we do not manage to get others to take care of us, we would die). We share two of these characteristics with other animals, the third one the characteristic of the homo faber would be decisive and would enable us to have a better understanding of power and modesty.
