  • Resumen
    • The design of class G amplifiers is based on voltage source switching. The main method for doing this is the is the so called rail switching system which may be difficult to understand to those not familiarized with electronic circuits and amplifiers. In this article we present a new source switching system of easy implementation based on window detectors. Material and methods: we used window detectors based on operational amplifiers to detect the input signal and depending on its magnitude connect a voltage level to the amplifier circuit. Results: the window detectors besides being easy in to make and to adapt to a class G amplifier, allowed the switch the power supplies connecting them to the amplifier circuit. . Conclusions: the switching system based on window detectors proved to be of easy implementation, reducing the amount of calculations and analysis and opening the possibility of the inclusion of more voltage levels in class G amplifiers in a simple manner.
