  • This paper describes the importance of to use specialized software in the solution of electrical circuits, in order to analyze the dynamic or transient response of the circuit. In many schools of the globe, the specialized software is used in order to give teaching support and arouse interest of students of electrical engineering in solving such problems. Consequently, research is aimed to use programs as ATP (Alternative Transient Program) and SIMULINK of MATLAB© (Matrix Laboratory) for analyzing electromagnetic transients in electrical circuits. In the same way, techniques based on inverse Laplace transform and numerical Fourier transform are used as a additional tool in the solution of the same electrical circuit, this techniques are used in order to show the relevance of the results.
