The purpose was to determine the status of school violence among adolescents. The sample included 4037 adolescent school students, 1975 men (48.9%) and 2062 women (51.1%), with age range of 11-17 years (average = 13.3 years, SD = .950). Two questionnaires were used: a questionnaire to identify situations of victimization and aggression, as well as a questionnaire to identify the responses of adolescents in situations of school violence. There are no differences between men and women in situations of victimization and aggression; prefer to communicate these situations to their peers, and their coping strategies in situations of violence, are not adequate. Support is needed in the development of social skills to address these situations.
