    El objetivo de este artículo es presentar al lector la síntesis de una investigación realizada en mayo de 2008 en el Archivo General Militar de Guadalajara, donde, entre otros fondos, se encuentra la Comisión Central de Examen de Penas. La esencia de esta investigación son un grupo de mujeres extremeñas que fueron condenadas a muerte durante los años de la guerra y la inmediata posguerra, sus penas fueron conmutadas a reclusión mayor o reclusión menor.

    The aim of this article is to present the synthesis of an investigation realized in May 2008 in the General Militar File of Guadalajara, where, between other fonds, there is the Central Commission of Examination of Sentence. The essence of this investigation they are a group of Extremadura women who were sentenced to death during the years of the war and the immediate postwar period, and that, later, her sentence was exchanged to major imprisonment or minor imprisonment.
