Resumen de José Ortega y Gasset en el movimiento reformista: la Liga de Educación Política Española como proyección del "patriotismo fenomenológico" (1913-1916)

El presente artículo pretende estudiar la relación existente entre la Liga de Educación Política Española, fundada en 1913 por José Ortega y Gasset, y el Partido Republicano Reformista, organizado en 1912 por Melquíades Álvarez y Gumersindo de Azcárate. El objetivo es el de establecer la naturaleza de su unión en 1913 y determinar las causas de su ruptura en 1916, partiendo de la base de que ambas instituciones compartieron una misma cultura política liberal, pero en el caso de Ortega estuvieron supeditadas a su interpretación personal de la circunstancia española.

This article aims to study the relationship between the League for Spanish Political Education, founded by José Ortega y Gasset in 1913, and the Reformist Republican Party, organized by Melquíades Álvarez and Gumersindo de Azcárate in 1912. The objective is to establish the nature of its union in 1913, and to determine the causes of its rupture in 1916, proceeding on the basis that both institutions shared the same liberal political culture, but in the case of Ortega they were subordinated to his personal interpretation of Spanish´s circumstance.
