Trata este artículo de la omnipresencia de la medicina en la trilogía dramática “Ṭayf al-Jayāl”. Tras una breve semblanza del autor y de la trama de su obra, se refiere al contexto científico de la época mameluca. Se estudia además la divulgación científica en las obras literarias que influyeron en la trilogía.
Finalmente, se incluye la traducción de los pasajes que Ibn Dāniyāl alude a la medicina.
This article deals with the omnipresence of medicine in the dramatic trilogy “Ṭayf al-Jayāl”. After a biographical sketch of the author and the plot of his work, it refers to the scientific context of the Mameluk period. The popularization of science in literary works that influenced the trilogy is studied. Finally, the translation of the passages in which Ibn Dāniyāl alludes to medicine is included.
