El pintor giennense Cristóbal Ruiz forma parte del grupo de artistas que tuvieron que exiliarse a América tras la Guerra Civil española. Ubicado entre Puerto Rico y México, introdujo nuevos temas en su repertorio iconográfico como el desnudo. El objetivo de este trabajo es dar a conocer un obra, dentro de esta temática, documentada y fechada en San Juan de Puerto Rico y que, recientemente, se ha incorporado a una colección privada granadina.

The painter from Jaén Cristóbal Ruiz is part of the group of artists that were forced to exile in America after the Spanish Civil War. Located between Puerto Rico and Mexico, he included new issues in his repertoire, as the nude. The aim of this article is to give knowledge of an artwork documented and dated in San Juan of Puerto Rico that recently became part of a private collection in Granada, Spain.
