Chagas disease is one of the most serious problems in public health. In Bolivia, Chagas disease causes 13 % of deaths of Bolivians between 15 and 75 years of age. Therefore declaring national priority. The socioeconomic impact due to the morbidity and mortality caused by Chagas disease, justifies use all resources and efforts to control the disease. Treatment of Chagas infection, in the context of the control measures, seeks to limit the damage caused by the parasite and also reduce or interrupt transmission. This reality obliges all health personnel to be instructed about this disease. Therefore it became necessary as health staff make this small study for the detection of chronic chagas in children 5 -15 years of age so that later the patients with positive Chagas treated adequately by the Chagas program.
