Resumen de Una segnalazione per le 'Storie di Enea' di Dosso Dossi
The ten paintings of the frieze depicting the Stories of Aeneas painted by dosso Dossi for Alfonso I d’Este’s Camerino of paintings in the Ferrara castle, were passed in the early nineteenth century from the Borghese family to the collection of the painter José de Madrazo, wholater became the director of the Real Museo of Madrid. The precise description of the paintings in the Catálogo of the Madrazo collection allows a more precise reconstruction of the cycle of Dosso, of which only a part comes to us.
