Resumo:Analisa as competências, habilidades e perfil requeridos do Profissional da Informação (PI) – bibliotecário – para atuar na empresa Alpargatas. Pesquisa do tipo exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, tendo a entrevista estruturada como instrumento de coleta de dados e como sujeitos os gestores dos Recursos Humanos da empresa. Identifica a visão da empresa quanto ao perfil do PI, que deve ter entre outras competências e habilidades: conhecimento da área, comprometimento pelo trabalho, ética, organização, criatividade, atitude e bom relacionamento interpessoal. Conclui que a formação e atuação do PI, na pessoa dos estagiários de biblioteconomia na Alpargatas, têm atendido os requisitos exigidos pela empresa. Sugere uma campanha de marketing nas organizações lucrativas, com palestras e entrega de folders explicativos sobre a profissão, aproximando e solidificando o elo entre universidade, estagiários, bibliotecários e empresas.
Abstract: It analyzes the abilities, skills and profile required of the Information Professional (IP) - librarian - to act in the company Alpargatas. Research of the exploratory and descriptive type, with qualitative boarding, having the structuralized interview as instrument of data collection and as subjects the Human Resources Managers of the company. It identifies the company view of the IP profile, that must have abilities and skills among others: knowledge of the area, work commitment, ethics, organization, creativity, attitude and good interpersonal relationship. It concludes that the formation and performance of the IP, in the Alpargatas librarian trainees person, have taken care of the requirements demanded for the company. It suggests a marketing campaign in the lucrative organizations, with clarifying lectures and folder delivery on the profession, approaching and making solid the link between university, trainees, librarians and companies.
