Resumen de Pesquisas sobre o uso de dicionários para aprendizes.

When speaking about dictionary use and research into it, some authors make inappropriate generalizations. Therefore, the first aim of this article is to attract attention to the differences that exist among various types of publications on the issue. Secondly, I deal with the main methods and aims of research done in this field. And finally, I select some examples from works on the use of learner’s dictionaries in order to show what types of studies have been conducted worldwide and what results have been obtained.

Haja vista que, ao falar do uso de dicionários e de pesquisas sobre tal uso, certos autores fazem generalizações inapropriadas, este artigo pretende, primeiro, chamar a atenção para as diferenças existentes nos trabalhos e pesquisas sobre o assunto. Em seguida, são abordados os diversos métodos e objetivos dos estudos realizados nessa área. Finalmente, resumem-se algumas pesquisas sobre o uso de dicionários para aprendizes a fim de mostrar, através de tais exemplos, quais tipos de investigações têm sido efetuados a nível internacional e a que resultados se tem chegado.
