A reconstruction of the architectural volumes in the library of Nicolas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc. This jurist from Aix was one of the greatest bibliophiles of his time, with a library of 5,000 books and 200 manuscripts. The architecture of Antiquity was one of his many passions, and he developed an exceptional architectural culture in order to study Gallo-Roman monuments. The reconstruction of the library draws on two inventories, De Peiresc's voluminous correspondence, his many handwritten dossiers, and the biography written by his friend Pierre Gassendi.
