    Valère Novarina’s dramatic work presents an original intersection between theatre and performance, which can be envisioned from the point of view of the question of incarnation. The figure of the histrion – the agent of a failed incarnation, of a masterless mimesis – is at the heart of the question of the transition between a theatre of the text and a theatre of emancipated action. Valère Novarina’s negative path allows us to conceive of a stage that exists not after the death of God, but after the hollowing out and removal of his place.

    L’oeuvre dramatique de Valère Novarina présente une intersection originale entre théâtre et performance, qui se laisse envisager sous l’angle de la question de l’incarnation. La figure de l’histrion, acteur d’une incarnation manquée, d’une mimésis sans maître, se situe au centre d’une problématique du passage entre théâtre de texte et théâtre de l’action émancipée. La voie négative de Valère Novarina nous aide à penser la scène non pas après la mort de Dieu, mais après l’évidement et l’éloignement de sa place.
