Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (Kikuchi's disease, Kikuchi- Fujimoto disease or Kikuchi's histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis) is a rare clinical identity, of unknown cause, with a benign behaviour, originally described in young female, and it usually presents with cervical lymphadenopathy and fever.
We present a case of a young male patient where our first impression was a malignant lymphoprofilative process, but surgery and the further pathologic study was reported as abscessificated granulomatous lymphadenitis, consistent with this disease, and after a detailed study by Internal Medicine Department through one year of follow up, the patient was diagnosed as Kikuchi's disease
