Resumen de Los cultos de Ártemis Limnatis y Ártemis Cariatis en las guerras mesenias de época arcaica

  Se tratan dos hechos concretos de las guerras mesenias: la violación de las espartanas en Limnas y el intento de violación en Carias. Con este estudio buscamos explicar la importancia de estos sucesos para las identidades mesenia y espartana y estudiarlos en clave religiosa razonando el sentido del culto y el por qué de la localización de los santuarios.

  In this paper we study two specific facts of the First and Second Messenian Wars: the rape of the Spartan parthenoi in Limnas and the attempted rape in Karyai. It�s about understanding the importance of these events for the identities of the Spartans and the Messenians and studying both actions in the religious context in which they took place, the sense of the cults and the location of the sanctuaries.
