  • Resumen
    • The article examines two paintings of Queen Elizabeth I of England including "The 'procession' portrait of Queen Elizabeth I (Queen Elizabeth going in procession to Blackfriars)," attributed to Robert Peake, and "The Armada portrait of Queen Elizabeth I," attributed to George Gower. Particular focus is given to how the invention of the printing press in the 1500s allowed for copies of these artworks to be distributed through engravings, etchings and woodcuts. Several images of these reproductions are also included.
