Resumen de Reptiles triásicos del registro español

José Luis Sanz García

  • The spanish record of Triassic reptiles is composed by four main lineages. The prolacertiformes are represented by Cosesaurus aviceps, from the Ladinian of the Sierra de Prades (Tarragona), and the placodonts by teeth, veretebrae and isolated dermatoskeletal fragments. Within the nothosaurs the most abundant genus is Lariosaurus. The nothosaurs are also represented by the species Nothosaurus cymatosauroides. Finally, there is a craneal evidence of an indeterminate basal Pistosauria.
