  • Seventy young scientists from various European countries met in Seville in September for the 4th Young Scientists Contest. The European Community Contest for Young Scientists was set up to promote the ideals of cooperation and interchange between young scientists and to provide a stimulus for the development of promising young talent. By organising the Contest, the Commission of the European Communities hopes to strengthen the effort made in each member state to attract young people to a career in science,technology, research and development.
