  • Resumen
    • Dioxines are the mosttoxical known man-made substances present in ourenvironment. There is a growing public concern and scientific interest about the risks that pose its exposition to human being. lts Toxicity is derived of their hughe carcinogenic activity, and that can cause severe disfunctios in growing, inmune system and hormonal balance. There is a controversy about the «mínimal safe dose» for human exposition to dioxine and its derivatives, and if this dose real/y exists, due to its bioaccumulative properties. The aim of future conventions about dioxine- would be to acomplish a zero level in its production, not controlling the usually high levels in certain polluted environments. Dioxine are produced in chlorine industry. There are stable compounds, with little solubility in earth, air and water, where they are usually in suspension, making possible a long distance dispersion.
