  • Resumen
    • There is a growing trend against delivery manipulations. In 1952 was bom in France the first baby following the method of «no pain delivery». Drs. Leboyer and Odent were the french pioneers of this method of delivery. A quiet environment is exceptionally important for the mother, that needs securily sensations, and this can lead to a lower rate of chirurgical interventions. Fetal monitoring also increases ceasareas. Modem trends ins obstetrics go towards the establishment of home-care centers. Hormons like occitocin, endorphins, adrenalin, etc. have a very important role in human sexuality; and the first hour of life is extremely imporlant for baby, and mother. Pregnancyand delivery must be understood as a process of human sexuality.
