  • Vegetalian diets can be dangerous in renal illnesses due to the excess of Magnesium and potassium, and also a deficiency in Sodium. In nephrotic syndrome there are important losses of proteins, that can be worsened by a low-protein diet like strict vegetalian diet. lnstead of these problems, diet and fasting can be a useful tool in the management of renal illnesses, with a close supervision by an specialist. Perhaps hydrotherapy is the most useful technique, specially the long duration (2-4 hours} entire tepid tub bath.
