  • Fasting is considered as a health remedy since the IVth century b.C. Arabs, celtics and asian cultures had used of it. Today we know that fasting is the cheaper and simpler method of causing a metabolic acidosis. lt is known that acidosis reduces or inhibits the evolution of cancer cells. Gernez method of acidosis proposes a anabolic depletion (fast in gorhypocaloric diets), stimulation of halthy cells, exclusion of cancerogenic factors, stimulation of citopoyesis and a chemotherapeutic treatment usually at low doses. Fasting is not starvation , because in fast the body uses the reserve energy, in stead in starvation there is a losening of vital tissues.
