Resumen de Parteras tradicionales en el estado de Chiapas, usos y costumbres: Apuntes sobre Medicina tradicional en México

• We present the uses and costumes about gravidity, delivery and post-partum in high Chiapas (Mexico) and the role of traditional indeigenous midwives. Their uses must be understood into the cultural cosmovision of Maya culture. OMIECH (Chiapas lndigenous Medical Organization) is working in the preservation of this ancient believings, in education of traditional healers, and in recuperation of traditional herbal medicines.
