Resumen de La Renaixensa i la reivindicació de l'escola catalana (1870-1892)

  • The source of Catalan nationalism, during the last period of XIXth Century, implied the claim for a school where were they able to employ their own language, in stead of Spanish. At the beginning of this process “La Renaixensa” emphasized the criticism of the inefficiency of Spanish school. At the end of this period, during the last decade of the nineteenth Century, in the “Bases de Manresa”, Catalan nationalism claimed for a unique Catalan school.
