Agresiones a profesionales de la salud: La verdadera dimensión del problema

    El presente trabajo tiene como objetivos generales, en primer lugar, reportar algunos antecedentes del estudio sobre agresiones sufridas por los profesionales sanitarios durante el desempeño de su actividad tras la implantación del Plan de Prevención y Atención de Agresiones para los profesionales del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía y, en segundo lugar, ofrecer una revisión actualizada de los resultados obtenidos del registro informático de agresiones (RIA) notificados por los trabajadores durante el bienio 2012/2013 comparándolos con el análisis que nos arrojan los datos del registro de incidentes violentos llevado a cabo por el servicio de Seguridad durante el mismo periodo de tiempo, intentando valorar de esta manera la dimensión real de las acciones violentas de los usuarios, o de sus familiares o acompañantes, sobre los profesionales sanitarios. En este sentido, los resultados muestran que en el bienio 2012/2013 se registraron en el registro informático de agresiones 88 agresiones, mientras que, en aquellos casos en donde estaban implicados los profesionales sanitarios, el registro de incidentes violentos llevado a cabo por la empresa de Seguridad arroja el dato de 267 episodios de violencia, situaciones conflictivas que quedan sin notificar en el registro de agresiones del Sistema Sanitario Público Andaluz

    The present work has two main objectives. Firstly, reviewing the background on studies on aggressive assaults suffered by healthcare personnel in the course of its activity after the implementation of the Plan de Prevención y Atención de Agresiones para los profesionales del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía (Plan for the Prevention and Response to Agressions to healthcare professionals of Andalusian Public Health System). And secondly, providing an updated review of the results obtained from the Computer Record of Aggressions (CRA, RIA in spanish) reported by workers during the 2012/2013 biennium, compared with the data of violent incidents registered by the Security Service during the same period. Thus, enabling the assessment of the real extent of the aggressive assaults from users, or their relatives or carers, against the healthcare personnel. In this line, the results pointed out that 88 aggressive assaults were recorded by the Computer Record of Aggressions along the 2012/2013 biennium; whereas, in those cases where healthcare personnel were involved, the record of aggressive assaults carried out by the Security Service grew to 267 episodes of violence; conflict events that are unreported on the the Andalusian Public Health System’s Computer Record
