  Este artículo parte de un balance de la historia local contemporánea sobre la Guerra Civil y constata tanto su desarrollo en los últimos años como sus lagunas. La historia local contribuye al conocimiento general de la historia del conflicto. Esta contribución es muy importante tanto para los historiadores como para los ciudadanos, dada la represión sufrida por los militantes de las organizaciones políticas y sus familias. Constituye una metodología acertada para estudiar la Guerra Civil.

  This article takes stock of the advances achieved in the local histories of the Civil War, highlighting both their great development in recent years and the gaps that are yet to be filled. Local history provides important insights into the nature of the war. Its contribution is extremely important for historians and citizens of Spain alike in view of the repression suffered by militants of political organisations as well as by their families. The analysis contained here demonstrates how local history can deepen our knowledge and understanding of the Civil War.
