En el presente artículo se expone el pensamiento trinitario de san Agustín en el "De Trinitate" y en otros escritos, para responder a los puntos discutidos actualmente por algunos teólogos, centrándose en la revelación de la Trinidad en la historia, en la historia de la salvación como obra de la Trinidad y originada por el mismo amor intratrinitario, y sobre el significado religioso de la revelación trinitaria en la experiencia concreta histórica vivida por los creyentes, singularmente y en la comunidad eclesial

The article deals with St. Augustine's idea of the Trinity as it is presented in "De Trinitate" and other of his Works, to answer to some controversial points stressed by some theologians, focusing in the Revelation of the Trinity within the History; the History of Salvation as a work of the Trinity and caused by the intratrinitarian love; and about the religious meaning of the trinitarian revelation within the particular life of the faithful, as individuals and as a part of an ecclesial community
