  Se describe el desarrollo de un sistema de información gerencial para la Subcomisión de Trabajos de Grado de Ingeniería de Sistemas del Núcleo de Anzoátegui de la Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela, realizado mediante una novedosa metodología, basada en la de sistemas blandos de Peter Checkland (SSM), y el Lenguaje Unificado de Modelado (UML). La combinación de estas herramientas permitió, en primer lugar, realizar mejoras en el sistema de actividades humanas de la subcomisión y, en segundo lugar, el desarrollo de un sistema de información adecuadamente adaptado a los requerimientos del antes mencionado sistema de actividades humanas.

  This article describes the development of a management information system, for the Thesis Sub-commission of System Engineering of Anzoategui Core of the Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela that was deployed with a newly developed methodology, based on the soft system methodology (SSM) of Peter Checkland, and the unified modeling language (UML). This combination of tools allowed, in the first place, making improvements to the system of human activities of the sub-commission, and in the second place, to develop an information system adequately adapted to the requirements of the prior mentioned system of human activities.
