Indol-acetic acid (IAA) is widely used to root cuttings of guava in Cuba. The objective is to determine the FitoMas®-E potential for rooting cuttings of guava var. Cuban Red Dwarf. The research was carried out from 2009 to 2011 in Guantánamo, Cuba. A complete randomized design was used testing different doses of FitoMas®-E (1-9 mL L-1), an absolute control treatment without application of products and a production control treatment with 5 mg L-1 of indole acetic acid. The production witness showed 54.81% of rooting efficiency cuttings, higher than the Fitomas®-E (5 mL L-1). This last one was the most effective rooting and showed the best results in number of roots and root biomass in guava cuttings.
