The article warns creditors about the peculiarities of the legal landscape in Indonesian including the remedies for debt recovery and the developments of bankruptcy cases in country. Advice is given to creditors to negotiate with the debtor to reach a settlement. Topics discussed are the options for negotiating a settlement including domestic arbitration and bankruptcy process, the determination of secured and unsecured creditors, and the enforcement of security rights.
