  • The article discusses the Dodd-Frank Act's section 619 also known as the Volcker Rule which prohibits a bank from engaging in proprietary trading. Topics discussed include the law also prohibiting banks from acquiring or retaining an ownership interest or sponsoring a hedge or private equity fund and conditions that allow trading in connection with underwriting activities.
