    Les fotografies antigues d’obres renaixentistes conservades en col·leccions privades permeten de vegades establir una atribució evident a autors catalans prou coneguts. Aquest és el cas de dues taules atribuïbles al pintor Joan de Borgonya, fotografiades a les col·leccions Armengol i Graupera, i d’una tercera pintura de col·lecció anònima que aquí proposem com a pròxima al cercle d’Isaac Hermes. L’estudi d’aquestes imatges ens permet, alhora, traçar un recorregut coherent i revelador al voltant de l’obra d’aquests dos pintors tan significatius del nostre Renaixement.

    The old photographs of Catalan Renaissance works preserved in private collections sometimes make it possible to attribute them to well known artists. Th is is the case of two works attributed to the painter Joan de Borgonya, photographed in the Armengol and Graupera collections, and a third painting from an anonymous collection which we suggest be ascribed to the circle of Isaac Hermes. The study of these images allows us to simultaneously trace a consistent and revealing course concerning the work of these two significant Catalan Renaissance painters.
