El texto cuya traducción presentamos aquí nos habla de la epistemología feminista en el ámbito musulmán. Las premisas en dicho ámbito son diferentes de las del feminismo occidental, y por ello realizaremos primero una introducción al escrito. Lo he considerado un clásico en su ámbito, ya que se trata de un texto fundamental para el desarrollo del pensamiento feminista musulmán, un pensamiento cuyo inicio podemos situar en la segunda medad del siglo XX. En la introducción al escrito, después de presentar de manera sintética los temas del feminismo musulmán, a modo de contexto de lectura, haremos una breve introducción a la autora y a sus ideas en este ámbito.

The text whose translation I present here deals with feminist epistemology in the Muslim world. As the epistemological assumptions are different from that of Western feminist thought, I introduce it to make the reader familiar with some basic concepts. I consider this text a classic in its field as it is a fundamental text for the development of Muslim feminist thought, a thought whose beginning can be placed in the second half of the twentieth century. In the introduction, after presenting some critical issues, I will briefly introduce the author and her thought.
