  • The article reports that the Indonesian government has imposed a tariff on the importation of iron and steel products with Harmonised System code 7210.61.11.00 with the issuance of the Minister Regulation 137.1/PMK.011/2014 by the Finance Ministry on July 7, 2014. Topics covered include the role of the Trade Safeguard Committee of Indonesia in the government's action, and the potential impact of the tariff on domestic consumers as well as on countries that export steel and iron products.
