  • The article reports on the implementation of the Guidelines Regarding Executive Guarantees (EG) which will reduce dependence on guarantees issued by executives in small and medium sized firms in Japan in February 2014. Topics covered include the potential effect of the guidelines on the country's financial practice with regards to restructuring and utilization of early turnaround, and the principles of the guidelines in relation to the review of the necessity as well as the execution of EG.
