  • The article discusses issues related to managing operators of alternative trading systems (ATS), which are getting registered as broker dealers. Topics discussed include growing popularity of off-exchange trading and ATS, request of the U.S. Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Sifma) for the Securities & Exhange Commission (SEC) to reconsider system of the financial services industry and issues related to trade-at provision in the SEC's tick-size pilot programme.
