The article presents the results of a survey on the leading debt restructuring regime around the world. Topics cited include the flexibility of the scheme of arrangement in Great Britain and Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. in restructuring bonds, failure of the Chapter 15 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code to provide protection against creditor claims, and advantages of Chapter 11 over the scheme of arrangement.
